The Tampa office completed a very successful school supply drive on Thursday, August 21st, 2014, with the delivery of a huge load of school supplies to the offices of the Hillsborough County Education Foundation in downtown Tampa. Each year, for the last several years, the Tampa office has divided its staff into teams. The teams compete to collect the most school supplies and this year the competition was fierce. Besides giving personal donations for the purchase of school supplies, teams conducted in-office fundraising events for the staff. Events such as providing breakfast, lunch or baked goods for monetary donations were held throughout the course of the collection period. 2014 was our most successful drive yet, with a total of $2,345 worth of school supplies being donated by Sagicor Life; we filled 4 full pallets with much needed school supplies. The mission of the Hillsborough County Education Foundation is to engage business and community partners in support of Hillsborough County Public Schools and the academic achievement of all its students. Sagicor Life Insurance Company is certainly doing its part. Congratulations everyone on a very successful school supply drive!
